Authorities in Florida released details of a home invasion involving armed intruders and the use of an AirTag tracking device. The incident, which took place in Odessa on August 19, 2025, saw a couple ambushed at gunpoint by two suspects, Luis Charles and Odardy MaldonadoRodriguez.

Tracking Device Leads to Home Ambush

The suspects reportedly attached an Apple AirTag to the victims’ SUV, allowing them to follow the couple to their home. Upon arrival, the intruders forced the couple into their garage at gunpoint. However, the alarm system was activated, prompting the suspects to flee the scene. Police later discovered the tracking device taped beneath the vehicle.
