
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the CMAT 2026 exam date. This crucial entrance test for management programs will take place on January 25, 2026.
Details of CMAT 2026
The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format. Candidates will have a total of 180 minutes, or three hours, to complete the exam. The test will be conducted in English.
Exam Structure
CMAT 2026 will evaluate candidates across several critical areas relevant to management studies:
- Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
- Logical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- General Awareness
- Innovation & Entrepreneurship
The exam will consist of 100 questions, divided into five sections. Each section will contain 20 questions, totaling 400 marks.
Admission Process
While CMAT is a national level entrance exam, the NTA has clarified that it does not handle the counselling process for admissions. Candidates must independently apply to the institutions that participate in CMAT 2026 using their scores.
Institutional Requirements
Each institution will establish its own cutoff scores. To qualify for admission, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria set by their chosen institutions. Once a candidate meets the qualifications, they may be required to participate in additional selection processes.
